Transcription and Mortgage Act.

This Act makes provision with respect to the transcription of deeds regarding land transactions and rights and mortgages. The Act sets out the documents to be transcribe documents to be transcribed and how they are to be transcribed. Documents shall be transcribed by filing them with the Mortgage Office or the Conservator of Mortgages. The Act also provides rules for effects of mortgages and effects on mortgages of certain deeds such as sale if mortgages are not inscribed.

These Regulations amend the Registration Duty Act in Part VII of the First Schedule (which specifies rates of registration duty) and in the Second Schedule in item 4A. The Second Schedule concerns calculation of the value of property for duty purposes.

Spatial Information Ordinance.

The present Ordinance implements both the Cantonal Spatial Information Law of 16 November 2011 and the Federal Spatial Information Act of 5 October 2007. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of federal legislation in the field of geographic information and the collection, management and use of spatial data for the area of the canton Basel-Stadt. The present Ordinance implements the Cantonal Spatial Information Law of 26 March 2012. In particular, the Ordinance applies to basic geodata of cantonal and municipal law. The present Law enforces the Federal Spatial Information Act of 5 October 2010. In particular, the purpose of the present Law is to provide authorities both at national and cantonal level, economy, science and the public with spatial information. The Law lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of federal legislation in the field of geographic information and the collection, management and use of spatial data for the area of the Canton Appenzell-Innerrhoden.

Land Registration (Fees) Order 2012 (S.I. No. 380 of 2012).

This Order specifies in the Schedule fees to be charged and taken by the Property Registration Authority (established under section 9 of the Registration of Deeds and Title Act 2006) for a service provided in the Land Registry. No registration shall be made and no other transaction shall be done or completed until: (a) the appropriate fee has been paid to the Authority, or (b) the Authority is satisfied that arrangements for the payment of the appropriate fee have been made.
