This Order, made under section 21 of the Agricultural Landlord and Tenant Act, declares the different classes of agricultural land of an agricultural holding set out in the Schedule to this Order to have the unimproved capital values specified therein. The land classified by this Order includes pastures, dairy land, rice lands, arable land and forest land.

These Regulations amend the Native Land Trust (Leases and Licences) Regulations by revoking Schedule 3 to those Regulations and substituting a new Schedule. The Schedule specifies fees for various activities and defines types of fees and the nature of the work for which a fee is requested.

This Law establishes legal, organizational and socio-economic grounds for the institution, functioning and re-organization of peasant farms. It shall not be applicable to subsidiary small-holding, collective gardening or horticulture. This Act amends the State Acquisition of Lands Ordinance in section 16 in paragraph (a). The principal object of this Amendment is to empower the Court when assessing the value of the land to be acquired under the State Acquisition of Lands Ordinance, to take into account the very nature of the estate or land being acquired itself and improvements on the land which the State has made whilst as a lessee or occupier of the land in question. It also empowers the Court to consider other matters, which the Court thinks appropriate and proper to take into account.
