Osnabrück University

Osnabrück University, founded in 1974, is a young, vibrant university in northwest Germany that is renowned for its research and teaching in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Law and Business Administration/Economics. The University provides ideal conditions for about 13.500 students and PhD students to learn and conduct research. Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research

PIK Potsdam

The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) was founded in 1992 and currently has a staff of about 320 people. The historic buildings of the institute and its high-performance computer are located on Potsdam’s Telegraphenberg campus. The institute is a member of the Leibniz Association and receives core funding of about 11 million euros from the German federal government and the Federal State of Brandenburg.

Texas Journal of Women Gender and the Law

Since the release of Volume 1 in 1990, the Journal has secured its place at the forefront of contemporary legal issues through the publication of articles, essays, notes, and reviews that enhance and maintain discourse on gender concerns. To this end, the Journal aims to expand feminist legal thought and inspire dialogue about legal, social, and political issues affecting women, ultimately enhancing the relationship between theoretical and practical perspectives of gender and law.

Evidence On Demand

Evidence on Demand was a resource service providing high-quality information in the fields of climate, environment, infrastructure, and livelihoods. The information hub provided access to a broad range of documents, learning resources and technical expertise. One of the key functions of the service was to assist U.K. Department for International Development (DFID) advisers and the wider international development community in making informed, evidence-based decisions. The expert team behind Evidence on Demand was co-led with IMC Worldwide Ltd in a joint venture.

 

Danish Institute for International Studies

DIIS

DIIS is an independent research institution for international studies, financed primarily by the Danish state. We conduct and communicate multidisciplinary research on globalisation, security, development and foreign policy and within these areas we aim to be agenda-setting in research, policy and public debate. DIIS participates in academic networks and publish in high-ranking academic journals, always striving to excel in academic scholarship. We continuously assess Denmark's foreign and political situation and inform the Danish media, politicians and the public about our work.

Ryukoku University

With its roots dating from 1639, Ryukoku University is one of the oldest Universities in Japan. Founded on the principles of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism, the University today has seven faculties ranging from the humanities to the natural sciences. Center for African Area Studies - Kyoto University

CAAS

The Center for African Area Studies (known as the "Africa Center") is foundation for African studies based on a deep understanding of Africa's natural environment, societies, and cultures that exists for the purpose of clarifying the uniqueness of various regions of Africa and contributing to endogenous development in Africa.

The forerunner of this center was the first African research institute to be established at a national university in Japan and was founded in April of 1986.

Université de Namur - Centre de Recherche en Économie de Développement

CRED

The Centre of Research in the Economics of Development (CRED) is a center for research devoted to studying problems of economic development, particularly issues of micro-institutions, collective action, market development, and political economics.


Most of the research carried out inCRED is based on first-hand data collected by members in various countries of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Works of both theoretical and empirical nature are regularly produced by a staff of six permanent academic members and between 10to 15 PhD students and post-doc researchers.
