Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Co-operation ACP-EU

CTA

The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) is an ACP-EU institution working in the field of information for development. We operate under the ACP-EU Cotonou Agreement and our headquarters are in The Netherlands. When it was set up, in 1984, CTA was given the challenging task of improving the flow of information among stakeholders in agricultural and rural development in African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.

Our work focuses on three key areas:

SNV

SNV

SNV is a non-profit, international development organisation, established in the Netherlands in 1965. We have been present on the ground in developing countries for over 40 years, and now operate in 35 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Balkans.

 

RECONCILE

Resource Conflict Institute (RECONCILE) is a regional policy research and advocacy NGO registered in Kenya and implementing programmes in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

IDSAsr

Guru Arjan Dev (GAD) Institute of Development Studies is a centre for advanced research and training in multi disciplinary areas as diverse as Agriculture and rural development; social change and social structure; environment and resource economics; globalization and trade, industry, labour and welfare; macro economics issues and models; population and development and health policy research.

Terra Institute

Mission: The mission of Terra Institute is to support community activities forsecuring equitable access to land and its sustainable use and for resolving related resource issues.

Goal: Terra supports knowledge and capacity building initiatives, action research and innovative methodologies for addressing asset based community development. Terra strengthens community linkages with governments, donors, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, trade and professional entities and for-profit organizations.

BRIDGE

BRIDGE is a research and information programme located within IDS Knowledge Services. We are part of a global movement whose vision is a world where gender equality, dignity and social justice prevail, where poverty is eliminated and where human rights – including women’s rights - are realised.

Natural Resource Perspectives (ODI)

ODI Natural Resource Perspectives present accessible information on current development issues and are sent to a wide audience of policy makers, researchers and people working in the non-governmental sector. The series ran from 1994 to 2008.


John Farrington, Editor of the NRP series, writes "Unfortunately, Sida support to the series has come to an end, and though they are happy with the series, their funding priorities have changed and enquiries have established that the series can no longer be included in their portfolio.
