These Regulations principally amend the Planning and Development Act 2000 for the purpose of giving further effect to Council Directive No. 85/337/EEC and Council Directive 92/43/EEC in relation to proposed development in protected areas established pursuant to Community legislation. The Regulations concern, among other things: mineral exploitation development; notifications under section 5 of the Act; exempted development; and definition of development proposed to be carried out by a local authority that is a planning authority.

This Decree concerns the protection of the soil from polluting substances and works that deteriorate the quality of soil. The Decree prescribes rules for the use of construction materials and defines methods to measure effects on the environment and in particular the subsoil groundwater. Other rules concern use of dredging materials, also in agriculture. The Decree defines specific standards for use and storage and makes provision for control and enforcement. It also applies to sludge used by agricultural enterprises as defined by article 1 of the Fertilizers Act.

This Act, consisting of 156 sections divided into twelve Parts and completed by one Schedule, establishes a comprehensive set of legislative provisions dealing with state conservation and land management matters. It establishes a number of statutory bodies including the Conservation Commission of Western Australia, the Marine Parks and Reserves Authority, and the Marine Parks and Reserves Scientific Advisory Committee, and it defines their composition, and functions and powers.

This Act prohibits the removal of topsoil from a site or the move of topsoil from a parcel unless with the proper permit. Under section 4, no person shall transport topsoil in, on or by a vehicle on a highway except in accordance with the regulations. The Act provides for inspections, enforcement and offences and penalties. The text consists of 23 sections.

This Act introduces measures to prevent nuisances in parishes. The Parish Council shall have powers to abate any imminently dangerous nuisances and may declare land to be a public nuisance. If the land in question is not cleaned, the Council may petition to court to have the land sold. The court may issue a condition order for sale. This order initiates to the procedure for sale of the land. The court may also order cleaning of the land. The Act also concerns properties on the seashore.

The present Guidelines establish the granting of subsidies for the protection of waters against hazardous substances in order to restore, maintain and improve the quality of waters and reduce suspect contaminated areas. The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to agricultural land being prone to erosion. In particular, the Ordinance establishes with a view to direct payments and other fundings, the classification of agricultural land according to their degree of erosion risks by water and wind. The present Ordinance implements article 6 of the Bavarian Soil Protection Law of 23 February 1999. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to experts and examining bodies for soil protection and management of contaminated sites. Article 2 establishes that experts and examining bodies are authorized according to article 6 of the afore-mentioned Bavarian Soil Protection Law by the State Environment Office.

These Regulations amend the Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 in regulation 31(3) concerning the maximum credit a landfill site operator may claim against annual landfill tax liability, in respect of qualifying contributions made.

This Decision approves the master plan on the socio-economic development of Con Dao district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.The main objectives of the plan include: protection of biodiversity, and reasonable exploitation and use of natural resources; development of sea and island tourism, eco-tourism and cultural and historical tourism; afforestation; renovation of the water drainage systems; management of waste; management of national parks and the building of marine reserves; and urban space development.
