These Regulations principally amend the Planning and Development Act 2000 for the purpose of giving further effect to Council Directive No. 85/337/EEC and Council Directive 92/43/EEC in relation to proposed development in protected areas established pursuant to Community legislation.

This Ordinance prohibits certain activities on land bordering on the sea or any tidal water and having its seaward boundary at the low water mark. It shall be prohibited to remove sand and other material without a licence granted by the Governor under this Ordinance and to deposit offensive substances or litter on the coast.

Council Directive 2011/97/EU amending Directive 1999/31/EC as regards specific criteria for the storage of metallic mercury considered as waste.

These Regulations provide a national environmental standard for activities on pieces of land whose soil may be contaminated in such a way to be a risk to human health.The activities are: removing or replacing a fuel storage system; sampling the soil; disturbing the soil; subdividing land; and changing the use of the piece of land. The activities are classified into permitted activities, controlled activities, restricted discretionary activities, or discretionary activities.

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the implementation of waste and soil protection provisions in Saxony. In particular, the Ordinance defines the responsibilities of the following public bodies: the State Ministry of the Environment and Agriculture, regional offices, Mining Office, State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology, and other specialized agencies. The text consists of 7 articles.

The purpose of the present Law is to implement the Directive 2001/42/EC of 27 June 2001of the European Parliament and of the Council on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment. In particular, the Law enacts the Federal Soil Protection Act of 7 March 1998 (BGBl. I p. 502). Article 1 establishes that land in general shall be used sparingly, and in particular sealing of the soil surface shall be limited to a minimum.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto regular el urbanismo en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco, que es una función pública que tiene por objeto la ordenación, programación, dirección, supervisión, control y, en su caso, ejecución de: a) la utilización o el uso del suelo; b) la transformación urbanística del suelo mediante la ejecución de la ordenación urbanística que se materializa en su urbanización y edificación; c) la construcción y la edificación; y d) el uso, la conservación y la rehabilitación de construcciones, instalaciones y edificaciones.

The present Ordinance provides for the implementation of the Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Law of 14 December 2004. In particular the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the Assessment Commission with a view to soil protection and contaminated sites. Article 1 establishes that the Commission has the task to assess the quality of the soil and to advice competent authorities as to methods of soil improvements.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto establecer y regular los patrimonios públicos de suelo de las distintas Administraciones del País Vasco así como las reservas de suelo en orden a la obtención de los siguientes fines: a) facilitar el desarrollo urbano y territorial del País Vasco; b) disponer de suelos para actuaciones de iniciativa pública y, en particular, para la construcción de viviendas de protección oficial u otros usos de interés social; y c) regular el mercado de suelo.

Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on industrial emissions (integrated pollution prevention and control).

This Directive lays down rules on integrated prevention and control of pollution arising from industrial activities, particularly those referred to in Chapters II to VI (which include combustion plants, waste incineration plants and installations and activities using organic solvents as well as installations producing titanium dioxide). It sets out provisions to prevent or reduce emissions into air, water and land and to prevent the generation of waste, in order to achieve a high level of protection of the environment.

La actividad urbanística es una función pública que comprende la planificación, organización, dirección y control de la ocupación y utilización del suelo, así como la transformación de éste mediante la urbanización y edificación y sus consecuencias para el entorno.
