Soil Protection Programme Ordinance.

The present Ordinance implements article 2of the Soil Protection Law (LGBl. No. 66/1987). In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to a soil protection programme in agriculture. Article 1 establishes that with a view to the type of cultivation regular inspections of the soil shall be affected. To this end a net of control facilities shall be established. The text consists of 6 articles and 1 Annex.

Sewage Ordinance.

The present Ordinance implements the Council Directive 86/278/EEC on the protection of the environment, and in particular of the soil, when sewage sludge is used in agriculture. The Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the use of sewage sludge in agriculture in such a way as to prevent harmful effects on soil, vegetation, anmals and man.

This Act concerns the classification, declaration, construction, maintenance and control of public roads and some related matters such as the restriction on the discharge of water and other liquids from private lands onto public roads, the duty of owners of adjoining land in relation with vegetation, restriction on the removal of sand from coastal areas in the vicinity of public roads and the (compulsory) acquisition of land by the Minister and exchange of land for purposes of this Act.

This Decree establishes that land inspection shall be autonomous institution within the State Land Cartographic Committee. Land inspection shall carry out the following tasks: (a) enforcement of land legislation; (b) detection of unused or irrationally used land; (c) supervision over quality of land monitoring; (d) supervision over soil improvement arrangements; and (e) coordination of land survey.

This Act provides for the constitution of Village and Area Councils in Nagaland and defines their internal organization and power and duties.Village Councils shall among other things, formulate Village Development Schemes to supervise proper maintenance of water supply, roads, forests, sanitation and other welfare activities; administer justice within the village limits; and deal with the internal administration of the village.The Act further provides for the constitution of a State Level Advisory Boards and defines its powers and duties.

This Act provides for the preservation of ancient and historical monuments and archaeological sites and remains of national importance and for the regulation of archaeological activities in India.The Central Government will have the power to declare ancient monuments or archaeological sites, etc. to be of national importance. The Director General may, with the sanction of the Central Government, purchase, take lease or assume the guardianship of any protected monument, for its protection or preservation.
