The Hunger Free Latin America and the Caribbean Initiative is a commitment from the countries of the region to eradicate hunger within the term of a generation.

The monitoring and follow-up of this Initiative is done through the Group of Latin America and the Caribbean in the United Nations (GRULAC), the Working Group 2025 (GT2025) and the Committee on World Food Security(CFS).

The group produces raw and refined sugar for local, regional African, European Union (EU), United States of America (USA) and world markets from sugar cane supplied by its own agricultural operations and independent outgrowers who supply cane to Illovo’s factories.
