The Latvia University of Agriculture (LLU) Strategic Development Plan 2010-2016, was developed during 2009 and approved by the LLU Senate on June 10, 2009.
In order to perform its functions and implement its goals and objectives, the Latvia University of Agriculture has developed three activity programs:

3. Administrative and financial support for studies and research work
The goal of the Latvia University of Agriculture is to provide the possibility to obtain higher academic and higher professional education in agriculture, veterinary medicine, food technology, engineering, forestry science, social science, information technologies and environment management sectors as well as to develop science and to maintain and develop the Latvian intellectual potential and culture.
The objectives of the LLU:
To ensure the study quality corresponding with the standards of a national university what would allow to educate competitive specialists for the Latvian and international labor markets.
To develop the scientific potential to participate in international research, to integrate the academic education and research what would ensure introduction of innovative, knowledge - based technologies into the Latvian national economy, specially, in the Zemgale region.
To ensure sustainable development for the university as a national education, science and culture institution:
to strengthen the legal basis;
to improve the organizational structure in accordance
to the LLU objectives;to develop cooperation with institutions, academic education and science institutions in Latvia and abroad, enterprises and professional organizations and regional institutions of Zemgale;
to manage the LLU material and technical basis effectively.

The article discusses on the basic concepts of land relations. The analysis of the dynamics of the level of rent for the use of the land (a share), and is defined by its share in the structure of household income in rural areas is carried out. Conclusions on the welfare of the rural population are done. For the regions of Ukraine, which is not significantly different industrial and production potential, but have favourable natural resource factors for socio-economic rise, the use of land resources is an extremely important part of the development of economic complex.
Ecological management of land resources in agriculture of Ukraine
In the article the basic problems of ecological land management in agricultural sector are viewed. The ecological and economic analysis of land use in agroindustrial production is carried out.
Improvement of the procedures of section of leased land in Ukraine
This article analyses the current situation in land relations in Ukraine, when tenants of land plots on which they are located real estate, not selling all property, but only its part. Thus there is a contradiction. On the land, which is leased by a natural or legal person, with buildings or structures, who do not belong to him (the lessee of the land), and the other person or entity. In the solution of this conflict in accordance with existing procedures in Ukraine interested parties spent a lot of time.
Identifying the intensity of using agricultural farming lands for agriculture in Lithuania
In the Republic of Lithuania the average land productivity score is about 41.8. However, in separate elderates it ranges from 30.5 to 55.1. As a result, it determines different intensity of using agricultural farming lands. Research object - agricultural farming lands in rural municipalities of the republic of Lithuania. Aim of the research – identify the intensity of using Lithuanian agricultural farming lands for agriculture.
Modern training for land use planning industry of Russia and Belarus
In modern conditions to train highly qualified personnel for the land continues to be relevant, it is important to the improvement of training programs in land use planning activities. The purpose of research: identifying opportunities for further cooperation in the field of higher education, orienting for a "double degree" callable in land use planning activities. A similar approach is being tested in two universities: the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus are taken into account long-term achievement of the two sister faculties.
