This Decree establishes the functioning of the national accreditation system for certification laboratories. Latvian national accreditation office shall be the authorized state institution competent in the sphere of accreditation. The relations between Latvian national accreditation office and certification laboratories shall be regulated by contracts.
Law "On concessions".
This Law establishes that concession shall be intended transfer of rights for rendering services or of exclusive rights to management of concession resources that are transferred for a certain period of time through conclusion of concession contract. The scope of this Law shall be determination of the modalities of granting concessions and also the basic principles of conclusion of concession contracts.
Decree No. 246 of the Cabinet of Ministers implementing Law on immovable property tax.
This Decree establishes that restrictions of economic activities in protected areas are envisaged in legislation on protected areas.

Decree No. 293 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on maximum residue limits of pesticides in foodstuffs of animal origin.
This Decree establishes mandatory safety requirements for foodstuffs of animal origin (meat and meat-based products) related to maximum residue limits (MRL) of pesticides. Annex 1 contains the list of pesticides and maximum residue limits (MRL) thereof. State Veterinary Service shall be authorized state institution competent to perform supervision of maximum residue limits in foodstuffs.
Law “On technical supervision over hazardous equipment”.
This Law establishes that equipment representing risks for human life and health, and also to environment, shall be considered hazardous and it shall be subject to mandatory state supervision and control in the form of inspections. The scope of the Law shall be to ensure safety and security of the aforesaid equipment for human beings and environment. The list of hazardous equipment shall be validated and published by the Cabinet of Ministers. It shall not be applicable to naval, air and railway means of transport and military activities.
