La presente Resolución adopta la Guía de buenas prácticas ambientales para la construcción y ensanche de carreteras y la rehabilitación de caminos rurales, para la implementación de las acciones de prevención, corrección, mitigación y compensación que puedan ejecutarse en estas actividades, a fin de promover la protección y prevenir daños en los factores ambientales.

This Decision approves the master plan on the socio-economic development of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.The plan aims at developing Ba Ria-Vung Tau into an industrial province strong in marine economy with a system of national and international commercial ports, and into an industrial, touristic and fisheries centre of the region. The socio-economic development shall be achieved on the basis of protecting, regenerating and enriching marine, forest, land and water resources, protecting the environment, particularly ecological and marine.

The purpose of these Rules and Regulations of the Guam Territorial Seashore Protection Commission is to define powers and duties of the Commission and to regulate procedures of meetings and other matters regarding the internal organization of the Commission.The Commission may, among other things, grant land use permit and terminate a right of use or occupancy.

These Regulations provide for the control of clearing, grading, filling, excavating, or other earth-moving operations which require a permit as provided for in specified legislation including operations by the Government.All such operations shall be carried out in accordance with an Erosion Control Plan approved by the Guam Environmental Protection Agency and in accordance with rules here prescribed. The plan shall meet requirements as prescribed by these Regulations and shall contain a stormwater drainage system proposal.

This Ordinance regulates the importation and removal of sand from Government land.A permit shall be required to remove sand from any land, foreshore or sea bed, and for the importation of sand. Penal provisions are contained in the text.

These Regulations concern the control of operations that may bring about erosion, sedimentation and soil degradation and for this purpose make provision for a system of permits and the approval of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans. The Regulations also provide rules relative to methods of soil-related activities so as to prevent erosion or other degradation of the soil.The Regulations shall apply to a limited range of activities concerning the soil. These activities require a clearing or grading permit.

This Act establishes the Coastal Resources Management Office, the Coastal Advisory Council and an Appeals Board, defines functions and powers of these government agencies, defines the coastal resources management policy of the Northern Mariana Islands and provides in respect of control of activities affecting the coast and coastal resources of the Northern Mariana Islands.Among objectives of coastal resources management policy are the protection of fish and wildlife resources and the prevention of damage to the environment.

Article 1 of the above-mentioned Law establishes that water and soil associations are public bodies based on the law of the Reich or Land with the following tasks: 1) to create, modify and keep in orderly state waters and their banks, to regulate the discharge of waters and to ensure their elimination as appropriate; 2) to create, modify, keep in good state, run, exploit and as appropriate to eliminate navigation plants, dams, floodgates, hydropower stations and watersheds; 3) to drain, to irrigate, to lay dry and to protect land from flooding, 4) to eliminate, recycle and clean waste water

This Act places restrictions on the mining of sand on beaches in order to protect the natural environment and the coastal zone and to prevent its deterioration and destruction.The Act prohibits the excavation or removal of sand from a prohibited area, i.e. presumably an area other than an Authorized Area. An Authorized Area is an area outside the coastal zone that has been designated by the Secretary of the Department of Public Works in concurrence with the Coastal Resources Management Office and the Division of Public Lands as a sand mining area.

An Act to amend 9 CMC Section 5807(b) and to add a new subsection (1f) to prohibit the launching of boats or other watercraft from beaches (P.L. 3-47).

This Act amends section 5807 of 9 CMC so as to place restrictions on the launching of any boat or other watercraft and the entering upon beaches by any motor vehicle for purposes of protecting the environment and historic or tourist sites. In order to avoid environmental degradation through erosion and pollution caused by the motor trailers and other motor vehicles the Act allows only launching of boats from launch pads specifically designed for such use.
