Item 13 shall be amended to add the following wording: "13. Access to information related to land valuation and cadastre number of a plot of land recorded in state land cadastre shall be granted to all persons free of charge in accordance with the modalities established by legislation related to land cadastre."

This Ministerial Decision implements the Decree that regulates the right of use and conditions for exploiting public land by establishing the procedures for consultation with the local communities on the use and property rights of land. The local community's consultation includes two phases. The first is a public meeting in order to provide information to the local community on the application for acquisition of land use rights and the identification of the boundaries of the parcel. The second relates to the duration of the consultation.

This Law establishes that land plot ownership right shall be attested by privatization documents in case of absence of such in accordance with cadastre plan elaborated by state land survey service. Privatization documents and cadastre plan shall be the grounds for registration of ownership right to the plot of land.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of state supervision over land tenure and land conservation by the local self-government and by the officials of the authorized state land institution.

This Act makes provision with respect to actions that may be undertaken to have a claim in ownership in land be recognized by the High Court. If the action is successful, the Court shall issue a certificate of title. The Act makes provision with respect to, among other things, evidence of title, legal proceedings, evidence of adverse claims, inspection, advertisement and (claims for) compensation.

These Rules amend the Land Registration (Network Access) Rules 2008 in consequence of changes under the Legal Services Act 2007 to the regulation of persons carrying out legal activities, and the introduction of alternative business structures. The amendments concern, among other things: interventions by new regulators or licensing authorities coming into being under that Act; and access rules for authorized persons.

This Act establishes the register of documents at Dar es Salaam for the purpose of registering documents in accordance with the provisions of this Act. The Minister may appoint a registrar. The Act declares the registration of selected documents relating to land rights and transfer to be compulsory..

These Rules amend the Land Registration Rules 2003 in rule 217 in the definition of “conveyancer” to include those who are or who employ authorized persons, authorized or licensed under the provisions of the Legal Services Act 2007 to carry on certain reserved instrument activities relating to land registration The definition also includes public officers carrying on those activities, and specifies when the conveyancer giving a certificate must be an individual.

This Act establishes a Land Survey Board under section 3. The Board shall be chaired by a Director of Surveys, the duties and functions of which are set out in section 11.Responsibilities of the Board are set out in section 5. The Director of Surveys shall be the custodian of the Survey Register in which surveys shall be entered (sect. 14). Other provisions of this Act concern qualification and registration of land surveyors and the practising of their profession.
