These Regulations provide that a disposal of land by local authorities for a consideration less than the best that can reasonably be obtained may take place where the local authority has carried out an appraisal of the proposed disposal, and is it satisfied that the disposal is reasonable and that the disposal contributes to one or more listed purposes.

This Law amends some provisions part of the Law on sanitary and health inspection (Official Gazette 87/2013, 106/2013, 137/2013 and 61/2015).Changes are related to the administrative and legal issues of the State Agency for real estate (article 20 regarding the authorization on sale of agricultural land in state ownership).

The purpose of these Regulations is to strengthen the construction and protection of public ecological forest, improve the ecological situation, maintain ecological safety, protect legal rights of public ecological forest owners, and business operators.

Article 4 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Supreme regional state body in the sphere of protected areas shall make decisions related to setting up on land plots and delimited areas of waterbodies of special protection regime of regional significance with regulated economic activities”.

This Act seeks to empower communities to fully engage in sustainable management and conservation of forests of Liberia by creating a legal framework that defines and supports community rights in the management and use of forest resources. It provides the legal framework that empowers local communities located in or near forest lands to access, manage, use and benefit from forest resources on those lands for sustenance and livelihood improvements as well as for community development. El presente Decreto tiene por objeto la creación del Fondo de Asentamientos Humanos. Asimismo, dispone que los productos forestales maderables decomisados como resultado de aprovechamiento ilegal en tierras fiscales declaradas, o que no hubiesen sido objeto de reclamo sobre su titularidad, serán destinados a proyectos con fines de carácter social a favor de comunidades, familias o personas indígenas.
