National Academic Research and Collaborations Information System (NARCIS) is the main Dutch national portal for those looking for information about researchers and their work. NARCIS aggregates data from around 30 institutional repositories. Besides researchers, NARCIS is also used by students, journalists and people working in educational and government institutions as well as the business sector.
NARCIS provides access to scientific information, including (open access) publications from the repositories of all the Dutch universities, KNAW, NWO and a number of research institutes, datasets from some data archives as well as descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes.
This means that NARCIS cannot be used as an entry point to access complete overviews of publications of researchers (yet). However, there are more institutions that make all their scientific publications accessible via NARCIS. By doing so, it will become possible to create much more complete publication lists of researchers.
In 2004, the development of NARCIS started as a cooperation project of KNAW Research Information, NWO, VSNU and METIS, as part of the development of services within the DARE programme of SURFfoundation. This project resulted in the NARCIS portal, in which the DAREnet service was incorporated in January 2007. NARCIS has been part of DANS since 2011.
DANS - Data Archiving and Networked Services - is the Netherlands Institute for permanent access to digital research resources. DANS encourages researchers to make their digital research data and related outputs Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

This thesis is an enquiry into the persistent problem of water scarcity in the paddy growing regions in the southeastern part of Palakkad district, in the state of Kerala, in South India. It views the problem of scarcity as an outcome of the existing unsustainable and inequitable mode of water resources management and distribution. It therefore places the problem of scarcity in the particular irrigation and agricultural context of Kerala.
Betekenis van macro-economische ontwikkelingen voor natuur en landschap : een eerste oriëntatie van het veld
Vanuit een theoretisch perspectief wordt de relatie geanalyseerd tussen macro-economie en natuur- en landschaps-ontwikkeling. Het is een poging te komen tot een juiste invalshoek: een denkoefening vanuit economisch-theoretisch perspectief. Allereerst wordt het probleem in verband gebracht met de literatuur over de Groene Kuznetscurve. Op basis daarvan concluderen we dat overheidsbeleid een essentieel onderdeel is van mogelijke relaties tussen macro-economie en natuur- en landschapsontwikkeling. Consistentie is een eis om een optimale combinatie van groei en natuur tot stand te brengen.

Na 1000 jaar landbouw is het raamwerk van het westelijk veenweidegebied voor een groot gedeelte in tact gebleven, ondanks dat het maaiveld 3 tot 5 meter is gezakt. In deze brochure wordt via een aantal voorbeelden geschetst hoe een visie op gebiedsniveau uit zou kunnen werken. Dit rapport schetst de methoden, resultaten en implicaties voor beleid van een onderzoek onder grondeigenaren naar hun belangstelling, motieven en knelpunten bij natuuraanleg volgens de functieverandering van de Subsidieregeling Natuurbeheer. Het onderzoek omvatte drie delen: een gericht op grondeigenaren, een gericht op deelnemers aan de functieverandering en een gericht op grondeigenaren die geprobeerd hebben functieverandering te realiseren, maar waarvan de pogingen gestrand zijn.
