The issue of women’s access to land is often framed in the context of oppression, emancipation, or Vietnamese uniqueness. Tras dos años de trayectoria, el proyecto Apoderándola para adelantar el desarrollo económico, cuyo objetivo principal es proveerle herramientas a mujeres agricultoras para que puedan iniciar o manejar su agroempresa de manera exitosa, ha impactado aproximadamente a 100 féminas.
En Ecuador, el Programa Mundial de Alimentos y los gobiernos locales compran los alimentos producidos por mujeres agricultoras con dos propósitos: apoyar la producción local para empoderar a las pequeñas agricultoras y diversificar las dietas, con alimentos sanos y nutritivos.
