This Code is made for the The Codes are made for Chairman of the District Land and Housing Tribunal. District Land and Housing Tribunals established under the Land Disputes Courts Act. The Code addresses, among other things, impartiality, diligence, and sanctions for breach of the Code.

This Regional Law sets forth terms and conditions of location of objects on plots of land pertaining to public or municipal ownership without neither allotment of plots of land nor application of servitude. The aforesaid location shall be subject to prior issuance of authorization by regional executive body or by local government with the maximum period of validity three years.

This Regional Law delimits plenary powers between regional state bodies. Regional Legislative Assembly shall have the following competence: (a) law-making and enforcement of legislation in the sphere of land relations; (b) establishment of cases of allotment of land plots free of charge to citizens, grounds for refusal of such allotment and minimum and maximum dimensions of land area destined for such allotment; and (c) establishment of the modalities for transfer of land to the category of protected areas.
The scope of this Regional Law shall be re-distribution of some plenary powers in the sphere of land relations in relation to governance of plots of urban public land with undelimited ownership in case of availability of validated land-use planning scheme. Regional executive body competent in the aforesaid sphere shall be Regional Government.

The present Uganda Vision 2040 lays out the general development objectives for Uganda over a 30-year period. Its goal is to transform Uganda from a predominantly peasant and low-income country to a competitive upper middle income status country. Together with the National Development Plan, Uganda Vision 2040 provides the overall leadership and policy direction for job creation and priority setting. It prioritizes agricultural development as well as tapping into the youth demographic dividend.
This strategy which will cover a five year period (2013-2018) is developed to implement the second phase of the Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy with the aim of achieving the revised targets of vision 2020.
