This Regional Law regulates allotment of agricultural land parcels pertaining to public or municipal property and establishes minimum and maximum dimensions of the aforesaid parcels. Maximum land area of agricultural land parcel owned by a single natural or legal person shall not exceed 20 percent of the total agricultural land area within the boundaries of a given municipal unit.

This Regional Law regulates transfer of state plenary powers related to transfer of public land on lease. It establishes that local self-government shall be competent institution related to allotment of public land on lease within the boundaries of municipal units.

The present Regulations are made under the Territorial Lands Act (R.S. 1985, c. T-7). In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to various conditions that may be included in a land use permit. Sections 8 and 9 of the Territorial Land Use Regulations list activities that require either a Class A or a Class B land use permit and, therefore, an environmental assessment. The text consists of 47 sections and 2 Schedules.

This Law concerns the vesting in the Governor of lands, tenements and hereditaments in the Islands, belonging to or held in trust for Her Majesty or acquired for the use of the Government and lands, tenements and hereditaments, which shall be purchased, taken, held or occupied for the use of the Government, or of any of the departments of, or belonging to the public service. The Law also defines powers of the Governor to dispose of such lands. Crown lands shall be vested in the Governor in the manner as specified in this Law.

This Regional Law establishes that public land pertaining to the ownership of regional government shall be allotted to citizens for individual urban and suburban individual residential housing construction free of charge with land area of 0,15 ha.

This Act provides for the unauthorized occupation of Government lands.The Act stipulates that a licence issued by the Government shall be obtained in order to occupy land which is property of the Government, and that in order to remove earth, metal, laterite, lime-shell, etc. from Government land a permit must be obtained.The Act further provides for: punishments for occupying Government land without authorization; levies of assessment on occupied Government lands; penalties for destruction or appropriation of trees; etc.

This Regional Law establishes allotment of land parcels free of charge out of public and municipal land stock for individual residential urban or non-residential (for gardening, horticulture, smallholding) suburban construction in ownership to multi-child families, with three and more children if the third and subsequent children were born after 1 January 2011. Land parcels shall be allotted once-only within regionally established land area dimensions limits for allocation of public land parcels.
