National Academic Research and Collaborations Information System (NARCIS) is the main Dutch national portal for those looking for information about researchers and their work. NARCIS aggregates data from around 30 institutional repositories. Besides researchers, NARCIS is also used by students, journalists and people working in educational and government institutions as well as the business sector.
NARCIS provides access to scientific information, including (open access) publications from the repositories of all the Dutch universities, KNAW, NWO and a number of research institutes, datasets from some data archives as well as descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes.
This means that NARCIS cannot be used as an entry point to access complete overviews of publications of researchers (yet). However, there are more institutions that make all their scientific publications accessible via NARCIS. By doing so, it will become possible to create much more complete publication lists of researchers.
In 2004, the development of NARCIS started as a cooperation project of KNAW Research Information, NWO, VSNU and METIS, as part of the development of services within the DARE programme of SURFfoundation. This project resulted in the NARCIS portal, in which the DAREnet service was incorporated in January 2007. NARCIS has been part of DANS since 2011.
DANS - Data Archiving and Networked Services - is the Netherlands Institute for permanent access to digital research resources. DANS encourages researchers to make their digital research data and related outputs Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

Beleefd praten over water : hoe overheden met bewoners en belanghebbenden communiceren over veranderingen in het waterbeheer
Steeds vaker worden burgers actief betrokken bij het waterbeheer. Toch is participatie niet per definitie een garantie voor succes. Het slagen van burgerparticipatie hangt onder andere samen met het gestelde doel, het vinden van de juiste vorm en de mogelijkheid om het doel aan te laten sluiten bij bredere vormen van gebiedsontwikkeling. Alterra maakte drie praktijkhandelingen voor participatie, belevingsonderzoek en communicatie in het waterbeheer. Dit deel gaat over ‘beleefd praten over water’, oftewel het met respect communiceren over de belangen van alle betrokkenen.
Juridica; Recreatie en natuur
Recreatie botst steeds vaker met Natura 2000, althans in de rechtszaal. We kende al de zaak van de aanleg van een schelpenvoetpad door de duinen van Katwijk (habitatrichtlijn Meijendel en Berkheide). Zo'n 100 vierkante meter type grijze duinen zou verloren gaan ten behoeve van dat voetpad. Nu komt daar het rustige strand van Schouwen-Duiveland bij: mogen kitebuggy coureurs daar nu al dan niet zich door de wind laten voortdrijven
Cultuurhistorisch beleid binnen LNV na 2009 : verplichtingen van binnenuit en verwachtingen van buitenaf
Wat moet LNV doen om na 2009 de verworvenheden van het Belvedere beleid voor de LNV beleidsterreinen te behouden? Deze centrale vraag beantwoorden onderzoekers van Alterra-WUR in opdracht van het ministerie van LNV. Dit onderzoek gaat in op de vraag wat de uitgangspunten, verwachtingen en verplichtingen zijn op het gebied van cultuurhistorie bij LNV en de provincies. Welke facetten van het cultuurhistorische beleid blijken überhaupt succesvol te zijn, zowel vanuit Belvedere als vanuit het overige LNV beleid.
