The present Law lays down provisions relating to the use of public space. In particular, the purpose of the Law is to conserve and develop public space as an attractive habitat for the Community.
The present Law promotes the sustainable growth of the national economy with a view to sustainable development, as well as responsible land use planning in the Canton Basel-Stadt.
Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Possessors (legal holders) of rights to land shall be considered owners of land plots, land tenants, landlords and land lease holders”.
