This Act makes provision for the registration of title in land and defines effects of registration of title. The Act also provides other rules relative to dealings in land. Land in respect of which title has been registered under this Act may not be transferred, mortgaged, leased or otherwise dealt with, and an instrument that purports to deal with such land shall not be registered, except in accordance with this Act. Rights in land shall be registered with the Registrar of Titles of Norfolk Island.

Decree designating circumstances in which the Office for the Administration of Agricultural Land may allocate agricultural land in leasehold.

This Decree specifies circumstances in which the Office for the Administration of Agricultural Land may allocate agricultural land in leasehold pursuant to article 57, first comma, of the Agricultural Land Transaction Act. The circumstances include succession and expansion of the farm.

This Act provides for title and registration of rights in native land.The Act consists of 65 sections divided into 9 Parts: Preliminary (I); Titles to native land (II); Alienation (III); The Land Court (IV); Lands Code (V); Leases (VI); Survey (VII); Penalties (VIII); General (IX).Section 4 concerns indefeasibility of title of native title subject to specified conditions. Subject to the provisions of this Ordinance native land shall not be alienated, whether by sale, gift, lease or otherwise, to a person who is not a native (sect. 5).

Royal Court (Possession Orders) (Jersey) Law 1998.

This Law empowers the Royal Court to make an order for possession of an immovable where the Royal Court: (a) is exercising its jurisdiction in proceedings for the cancellation (résolution) of a contract of lease of an immovable; and (b) orders the cancellation of that lease. This power may be exercised to grant: (a) immediate possession of the immovable; or (b) possession at a later date of the immovable, in accordance with article 3(3) and (3A) of the Loi concernant l’expulsion des locataires réfractaires as if the provisions of that Law applied to the Royal Court.

The present Regulations enact section 10 of the Mineral Resources Act, 1959, which was repealed by the Crown Minerals Act (C-50.2), but these Regulations continue in force under the Crown Minerals Act. In particular, the Act lays down provisions relating to permits and licences of shale exploration. The text consists of 49 sections divided into 5 Parts as follows: General (I); Permits (II); Leases of Crown lands (III); Conditions applicable to permits and leases (IV); Surface rights (V). Three Schedules are enclosed.

Agricultural Holdings (Improvements) (Guernsey) Law, 1965.

This Law provides rules relative to improvements made by tenants or landlords under a lease of an agricultural holding. The tenant shall in principle be entitled on the termination of the tenancy to receive compensation in accordance with the provisions of the Second Schedule, for any improvement carried out by the tenant as specified in Part I of the First Schedule or any act of husbandry carried out by the tenant on the holding as specified in Part II of the First Schedule. If the landlord carries out such improvement he or she may raise the rent according to provisions of this Law.

These Regulations provide that a register shall be maintained by an officer appointed for the purpose in respect of: (a) applications for the assessment of standard rent under the Rent Restriction Act; and (b) all other proceedings under the Act. They also provide with respect to applications to Rent Tribunals and the procedure to be followed by Rent Tribunals.
