Regional Law No. 250-OZ “On areas of traditional management of indigenous peoples of the North”.

This Regional Law establishes the modalities of organization of the territories of traditional management of indigenous small-number populations of the North, legal status of nature management and is directed at the solution of economic, social, ecological and demographic problems for ensuring conservation of the traditional way of life of indigenous peoples. Areas of traditional management of indigenous peoples shall be classified as protected areas.

This Resolution approves the National Directives for Land use Planning (DNOT). It establishes the requirements for National territorial planning, as established by Legislative Decree No. 1/2006 (Bases: X and XVI) amended by Legislative Decree No. 6/2010 and Decree-Law No. 43/2010. The present Regulation is enacted under the East Side Traditional Lands Planning and Special Protected Areas Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the delimitation of the East Side Management Area. The text consists of 3 sections.

This Act, among other things, vests the property of mineral rights in the President, provides with respect to the administration of matters regarding mines and minerals, provides for the granting of mineral rights and related matters, and provides for the protection of the environment in relation with mining operations.
