This Decree provides for the protection of public land from unlawful deeds, occupation, trespass or other illegal encroachment or interference.The Decree prescribes penalties for unlawful sale or occupation of public land and provides for the ejection of trespassers. The Decree further defines “public land” and defines responsibility for offences committed by legal juristic persons.

The present Regulation enacts the Water Resources Administration Act. Section 2 of the present Regulation establish that the Minister shall not issue a permit in respect of a building or structure within a designated reservoir area unless the building or structure is for agricultural purposes or for water control works; or b) the designated reservoir area, or that part thereof in which the building or structure is or will be situated, is under a town planning scheme, a planning scheme, or a development plan. The present Regulation enacts the Water Resources Administration Act. Section 1 establishes that the dyking systems set out in the Schedule are established as designated dyking systems protecting the lands described therein, and each has the name given to it in the section heading preceding the description.

The present Regulation enacts the Wildlife Act. Section 2 of the present Regulation establishes that a lessee of Crown lands may post signs – subject to authorization by the competent Minister - prohibiting the hunting or trapping of wildlife on the following portions of the land leased under a particular lease. La presente Ley introduce los principios generales y normas que regirán la venta, el arrendamiento y la colonización de las tierras fiscales en la Provincia de Corrientes, tanto urbanas como rurales. La Ley dispone que el Poder Ejecutivo procederá, por intermedio del Ministerio de Asuntos Económicos, a estudiar, mensurar, subdividir y registrar la tierra fiscal de su dominio, a darla en ocupación o arrendamiento y a venderla, dentro de un plan progresivo y orgánico que determine su destino y las necesidades generales, teniendo en cuenta el principio de la función social de la tierra.

This Order, made under the Carib Reserve Act, provides for the dissolution of the Carib Reserve Council, which is responsible for administration of an area of Dominica set apart under this Act as a reserve and known as the “Carib Reserve”. In the period of transition following the dissolution and until new Council is elected, all powers relative to real and personal belonging to or vested in the Council shall vest in the outgoing Chairman and Clerk of Council. These Officers shall also discharge all duties of the Council in the period of transition.

This Act concerns the administration of an area of Dominica set apart under this Act as a reserve and known as the “Carib Reserve”. The Carib Reserve Council shall be constituted as a body corporate and shall be a local government body with the same powers as a Village Council. The Council may make By-laws for the administration of the area including such matters as drainage and sewerage, pollution control, the keeping of animals and the sale of food. The Authority may also establish public pounds and allot land for purposes of agricultural development.

These Regulations provide for the proper management and control of country parks and special areas.The Regulations prohibit or restrict within a country park o special area, except in possession of a permit: the entry of persons, vehicles, boats and animals; the killing, hunting, trapping or disturbance of any form of wildlife; the taking and destruction of vegetation; the cutting, picking, uprooting, digging, etc. of any plant, part of a plant or soil; the lighting of fires; etc.
