National Academic Research and Collaborations Information System (NARCIS) is the main Dutch national portal for those looking for information about researchers and their work. NARCIS aggregates data from around 30 institutional repositories. Besides researchers, NARCIS is also used by students, journalists and people working in educational and government institutions as well as the business sector.
NARCIS provides access to scientific information, including (open access) publications from the repositories of all the Dutch universities, KNAW, NWO and a number of research institutes, datasets from some data archives as well as descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes.
This means that NARCIS cannot be used as an entry point to access complete overviews of publications of researchers (yet). However, there are more institutions that make all their scientific publications accessible via NARCIS. By doing so, it will become possible to create much more complete publication lists of researchers.
In 2004, the development of NARCIS started as a cooperation project of KNAW Research Information, NWO, VSNU and METIS, as part of the development of services within the DARE programme of SURFfoundation. This project resulted in the NARCIS portal, in which the DAREnet service was incorporated in January 2007. NARCIS has been part of DANS since 2011.
DANS - Data Archiving and Networked Services - is the Netherlands Institute for permanent access to digital research resources. DANS encourages researchers to make their digital research data and related outputs Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

De commissie heeft, in overleg met de bestuurlijke trekkers en Riek Bakker, de vrijheid genomen om het werkgebied ruimer op te vatten dan de gebiedsafbakening van de opdrachtgever. Het advies heeft betrekking op het cultuurlandschap en het groen in het gebied tussen de glastuinbouw van het Westland, en de aaneengesloten stedelijke bebouwing van Den Haag, Rotterdam en Zoetermeer. Daaronder wordt dus uitdrukkelijk begrepen de Groenzone Berkel-Pijnacker.
Estafette voor projectgroepen : onderwijsproject natuurbeheer in de praktijk voor HBO en MBO
Zes groepen studenten van Hogeschool van Hall Larenstein (hbo Velp) werken op dit moment aan oplossingen voor de Gelderse Vallei. Ze doen onderzoek, maken plannen en komen met adviezen. Op die manier werken ze op verzoek van de Stichting Vernieuwing Gelderse Vallei aan reconstructie van dit gebied
Landschapsbeleving: gezamenlijke uitdaging voor wetenschap, beleid en planpraktijk
In het waardendebat over landschap nemen visueel landschappelijke karakteristieken, ‘belevingswaarden’, een bijzondere plaats in. Enerzijds is een veel ingenomen positie dat die waarden geheel subjectief zijn en dus niet mee kunnen tellen in een rationeel afwegingsproces bij ruimtelijke allocatievraagstukken. Anderzijds zijn velen er van overtuigd dat er op basis van belevingsonderzoek wel degelijk intersubjectieve waarheden te vinden zijn over landschapsbeleving. Waarheden die ons begrip van die landschapsbelevingen vergroten en die ook relevant zijn voor ontwerp en planning.
Where and how to manage: optimal selection of conservation actions for multiple species
Multiple alternative options are frequently available for the protection, maintenance or restoration of conservation areas. The choice of a particular management action can have large effects on the species occurring in the area, because different actions have different effects on different species. Together with the fact that conservation funds are limited and particular management actions are costly, it would be desirable to be able to identify where, and what kind of management should be applied to maximize conservation benefits.
