This Act concerns spatial planning in South Africa at national and local level. It provides for a uniform, effective and comprehensive system of spatial planning and land use management and development, and for the sustainable and efficient use of land. The Act consists of 62 sections divided into seven Chapters: Introductory Provisions (1); Development Principles and Norms and Standards (2); Intergovernmental Support (3); Spatial Development Frameworks (4); Land Use Management (5); Land Development Management (6); General Provisions (7).

The Final National Land Policy (NLP) of Sierra Leone provides the vision, principles and policy components to give direction to and definition of the roles and responsibilities of various government and customary authorities, and other non-state actors, in land management. Specifically, it enunciates policy statements in respect of the key components of the National Land Policy such as access to land and tenure, land use, regulation and the management of special land issues, land administration structures, land laws and the Constitution.

This Order amends the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 in relation to England only. The amendments concern, among other things: powers of local authorities pursuant to the principal Order to give directions so as to apply a specific planning permission required for development of a specified class in the area to which the direction applies; the procedure relating to such directions; other planning permissions; and other development.

The present Regulations is made under the Environment Protection and Enhancement Act. Section 2 of the above-mentioned Regulation establishes the Oil Sands Environmental Monitoring Programme consisting of the Joint Canada/Alberta Oil Sands Monitoring Implementation Programme, established by Ministerial Order 25/2013 made by the Minister pursuant to section 8 of the Government Organization Act. This Programme strengthens environmental monitoring programmes for air, water, land and biodiversity in the oil sands region.

The purpose of this Standard is to implement the Environmental Protection Law, prevent and control environmental pollution, protect human health, and protect the ecological environment.This standard specifies requirements for the water environment quality, soil environmental quality, ambient air quality and environmental quality evaluation index, limit value, monitoring and evaluation method of various livestock and poultry breeding areas. This Decree states that the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources shall be charged with making a survey of the areas under risk of landslides in Baku and Absheron peninsula and producing maps to determine the geographic coordinates of these areas. The local authorities shall ensure the coordination with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources to approve the construction projects in these areas in accordance with the Article 75.4 of the Code of Urban Planning and Construction.

The Commission is established under section 3 as a body corporate. It shall be the principal advisory and executive organ of the Government on all matters related to land use and conservation of the environment and shall formulate policies, act as co-coordinator of activities in the fields concerned and serve as a channel between bodies acting in the fields concerned and the government (sect. 4). Furthermore, the Commission shall develop standards formulate legislation and carry out all other functions listed in section 4.
