Social Impact Measurement
• I possess skills in matters concerning Social Impact Measurement; which is a means of measuring the effectiveness of organizational activities and judging the significance of changes brought about by those activities. Impact assessment is intimately linked to Mission, and, in that sense, ripples through the organization. I possess skills of developing professionals to purposefully engage the stakeholders of a project to meaningfully participate and influence the processes they have initiated to ensure that they are effective and can bring about the intended long-term impact on the target groups. This helps the government and the NGO sector to design and implement projects with a foresight and focus on the effectiveness of their intervention in the long term, and not just reaching outputs and achieving results. Therefore, I have skills in conducting impact measurement in projects that are being implemented; I develop tools that can be used to initiate impact measurement which has helped me to appreciate and make use of the stages of impact measurement. I further identify and engage major players in impact measurement, lastly explain and effectively handle challenges associated with impact measurement.
