Once the seat of Viking raiders and later a major north European power, Denmark has evolved into a modern, prosperous nation that is participating in the general political and economic integration of Europe. It joined NATO in 1949 and the EEC (now the EU) in 1973. However, the country has opted out of certain elements of the EU's Maastricht Treaty, including the European Economic and Monetary Union, European defense cooperation, and issues concerning certain justice and home affairs.
Denmark is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy.

This Order establishes data freely available by the Minister of Environment to public administrations, businesses and individuals with regard to Survey and Cadastre surveying and mapping of land, as well as to payment thereof.

Order No. 1074 on rate interests of cyclical governmental loans to tenant farmers.
The Order sets guidelines for the regulation of interest rates applied to governmental loans to tenant farmers in accordance to article 26 of Order No. 662 of 14 August 1997 on governmental smallholdings and rents. The regulated interest rates in December 2012 with termination in June 2013 are reduced by half (for interest rates from 3 to 5%) and by 2.5% (for interest rates of 5.5% or more).

Order No. 84 on special subsidy to farmers for the care of eligible grassland.
The Order applies to financial assistance to farmers. The provisions of this Order relate to specific subsidy for the maintenance of permanent pasture areas.
Order No. 28 on electronic Common Table and field maps.
The Order applies to rural development. The "Common Schedule" is a form used to apply for certain types of agriculture to be carried out in specific land areas. These applications are submitted to the Danish AgriFish Agency in order to obtain partial or full subsidy for these farming activities. The Danish AgriFish Agency shall ensure that registration of these applications are done electronically. There may only be submitted one application for each farm. Areas in which a farmer has given grazing rights to others, shall be included in the farmers’ application.
