This Regional Law establishes legal, economic and social grounds for constituting and functioning of peasant farms, including family farms. Plots of agricultural land can be allotted (free of charge or for payment) or purchased in ownership by peasant farms and family farms. Minimum land plots shall not be applicable to family farms performing gardening, horticulture, floriculture, seedgrowing, poultry farming, apiculture and fishfarming with the utilization of methods and technologies allowing use of land plots of the area smaller than minimum land area established for agricultural activities.
