These Regulations implement provisions of the Beach Control Act for the control of activities affecting beaches and inshore waters of Seychelles. The Regulations place restrictions on water skiing, use of motorboats and similar activities, provides for the control of activities above the low-water mark and the appointment of beach wardens and inspectors. The Minister shall, when considering to allow beach activities, the interests of traditional fishermen and have regard to the interests of conservation of the environment, the preservation of the ecological balance and tourist resources.
