Denis Kioko is a Pan African, Social scientist adept in National, Regional and Global Public Policy & Advocacy work with over 12 years of experience in conducting Advocacy that connects people to Policies. He is a skilled diplomat, negotiator and passionate human and land rights advocate with a deep appreciation of the intersection between socio-economic challenges, policy gaps and systems failures. His enormous experience in policy and advocacy has enabled him to be a “scholarly contributor” in the Advocacy arena by conceptualising and developing an advocacy theory i.e. “Theory of the Will.”
He is currently serving as a Localisation Adviser in Trocaire Global Partnership & Localisation Hub which operates in 17 Countries located in Africa, Central America, Middle East and Asia. He is also a member of the Africa Group of Negotiators, a body charged with mandate of supporting African Leaders in their global negotiations. He holds a degree in Community Resource Management (CRM) from Kenyatta University, Professional Certificates on Strategic Leadership and Management from Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Political Inclusivity from Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD) and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration in Kenyatta University.
