Margaret A. Rugadya works in the foundation's Nairobi office where she focuses on resource governance, land tenure, and the distribution of public resources for communities dependent on natural resources. The goal of her grant making is to promote benefit-sharing regimes that have the greatest impact on reducing inequality and improving social justice for communities affected by extractive activities—especially, the loss of services provided by critical ecosystems, restitution in cases of resource development, and revenues in cases of resource commercialization.
