These Regulations amend the Schedule to the Land Registration (Forms) Regulations, 2014, by deleting the words "the provisions of section 108 of the Land Act, 2012 and” appearing immediately after the words "subject to" in Form LA.

These Regulations, made by the Cabinet Secretary for East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism under section 122 Tourism Regulatory Authority, concern classification, standardization and control of the tourist industry and development relating to tourism. Control shall be carried out through a licensing system, inspections and enforcement measures. The Tourism Regulatory Authority shall establish a Licensing Committee and a Standardization and Classification Committee.

These Regulations, made under sections 108 and 110 of the Land Registration Act, 2012, set out in the Schedule the form that shall be used for the continued execution of land transactions. The form concerns a lease issued pursuant to the transitional provisions in sections 160 and 161 of the Land Act and section 108 of the Land Registration Act. The form also sets out conditions of lease.

This Act provides with respect to local government and local authority (i.e. a municipal, county, town or urban council) in Kenya. The Minister shall have the power to establish municipalities, counties or townships. Local authorities may enter into agreement between them for purposes of joint management and control.

Local Authorities (Recovery of Possession of Property) Act (Cap. 273).

This Act makes provision for the recovery of land and other immovable property when the term or interest of the tenant of premises held by him or her from a local authority at will or for a term not exceeding three years, either with or without being liable to the payment of rent, has expired or has been legally determined by a notice to quit or otherwise. The local authority may in such circumstance make a complaint in writing on oath before a magistrate.
