The present Law lays down provisions relating to conditions of farmland in Upper Austria. Article 1 deals with land consolidations. With a view to create and maintain an efficient and environment-friendly agriculture, property rights, rights of use and cultivation in rural life may be improved or newly arranged by means of : 1) new divisions and development of agricultural and forest land; 2) merging agricultural and forestry industries taking into account modern agricultural and ecological factors. The text consists of 105 articles divided into 3 Main Parts as follows: Merging and land clearing (I); Legal and economic conditions of agricultural land cooperatives (II); Proceedings, penalties and transitional and final provisions (III).
