Order No.179-pr of 2000 of the Federal Service of Geodesy and Cartography regarding validation of the Regulation on territorial inspection on state geodetic survey.

The head of the Federal Service of Geodesy and Cartography orders to validate the Regulation. This Regulation determines the status, the main tasks and competence of the territorial inspection of state geodetic survey of the Federal Service of Geodesy and Cartography. Territorial inspection of state geodetic survey is a territorial division of the Federal Service of Geodesy and Cartography and carries out state geodetic survey over geodetic and cartographic activity on the allotted territory. Inspection is a juridical person. The main tasks of inspection are: 1). Carrying out state geodetic supervision over cadastre (land-surveying) activity, elaboration of geo-information systems and other geodetic and cartographic activity on the allotted territory in accordance with legislative and normative acts. 2). Supervision over the correct representation of state border, the territory of the Russian Federation, its continental shelf and Exclusive Economic Zone, the territorial boundaries of the Regions and municipal units within the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation. 2). Licensing of geodetic and cartographic activity. 3). Registration of geodetic and cartographic work. Officials and specialists of the inspection are authorized to have access to the organizations in the process of carrying out supervision over the accomplishment of geodetic and cartographic activity.
