The purpose of the present Act is to transpose into national legislation the Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2007 establishing an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE).

This Act, consisting of 274 Sections divided into eight Parts and completed by eight Schedules, regulates the property Land Law in the territory of Victoria. The Act includes also provisions on registration, dispute settlement, insurances and public auctions. It is divided as follows: Registration of Conveyances etc.
