This report presents the outcome of a macroeconomic survey of the forest sector of the Republic of Latvia. It presents issues and parameters facing public and private sector decision-makers in their respective attempts to develop this sector. It identifies opportunities and constraints to investment and proposes measures to, accordingly, either engage them or remove them.

A complete 46-page report that covers the overall situation of Niger's forest resources. It is organised in two main parts that cover (1) the objectives of the study and the methodologies used as well as (2) the results obtained. There are some insights of forest plantation classifications, agroforest parks, forest plantations, forest resources, productivity factors and population needs.

A concise summary of the state of knowledge and experience concerning sustainable forest management, prepared as an input to the World Bank's Forest Policy Implementation Review and Strategy. An overview of experiences gained from different forest management systems is given, followed by a discussion of the outlook for forest resources and for forest product markets.

This study describes the main NWFP (mushrooms, wild fruits as well and products of animal origin) and their means of exploitation. Forest activities and services are also described followed by a discussion of the main constraints related to NWFP.

The first part gives some general information about what forest resources are available giving some details about the types of vegetation, biodiversity, etc.
