Negotiations are important in urban densification processes. In particular, integrative negotiations seem to be relevant. The conflicts between neighbors and developers can be challenging to solve. Land readjustment is used in several countries to merge properties or reshape properties in conjunction with densification projects. Conflicts can be handled and reduced by land readjustment. Should such a measure be relevant in Norway, it is recommended, among other things, that a majority of the landowners within a land readjustment area must be in favor.

Norwegian Church Aid

Norwegian Church Aid (Norwegian Kirkens Nødhjelp) is a Norwegian humanitarian and ecumenical organisation with headquarters in Oslo. It was traditionally affiliated with the state Church of Norway, but is now independent. Norwegian Church Aid works together with people and organisations across the world to eradicate poverty and injustice. NCA provides emergency assistance in disasters and works for long-term development in local communities. In order to address the root causes of poverty, NCA advocates for just decisions by public authorities, business and religious leaders.

Norwegian Mapping Authority (Kartverket)

NMA

The Norwegian Mapping Authority (NMA) is Norway's national mapping agency, dealing with land surveying, geodesy, hydrographic surveying, cadastre and cartography. Its headquarters are in Hønefoss and it is a public agency under the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation. NMA was founded in 1773.

The “Lost Counties”

The colonial and postcolonial legacy of the “Lost Counties” land issue has recently resurfaced as a contentious ethno-political issue in Uganda. The aim of the paper is to critically examine the politics of belonging and land rights in relation to Ugandan land legislation and the “Lost Counties” issue. The empirically basis of this paper is primarily derived from field work in Kibaale District, during the period January to July 2004.

The purpose of the Act is to promote and facilitate outdoor recreation ensuring Marka's borders and preserve a natural and cultural heritage, as well as sustainability thereof. The geographical area Marka is composed by the following areas: Kjekstad Marka, Vard Åsmarka, Vestmarka Krokskogen, Bærumsmarka, North Marka, Lillomarka, Romeriksåsene, Gjellerås Marka, Østmarka and Sørmarka. Marka is an agricultural, natural and recreational area (LNF area) pursuing Act relative to planning and construction.

Bouvet Island, Peter I Island and Queen Maud Land (45 ° east - 20 ° west latitudes) is subject to Norwegian sovereignty as dependency land. Norwegian civil and penal laws together on the administration of justice apply to Bouvet Island, Peter I Island and Queen Maud Land. The King may issue regulations on environmental protection on Bouvet Island, Peter I's Island and Queen Maud Land (art. 2). Additional provisions of this Act shall be determined by HM the King, whereby HM may implement amendments when and where required.

Act No. 17 of 1939 relative forests for domestic use.

"Forest for domestic use" is a forest owned in common property and which serves to satisfy the needs of supply of wood for domestic purposes of the owners. "Use for domestic purposes" seems to include use of timber for carpentry and construction of houses. Such forest shall be managed by a board of members in accordance with rules laid down by the present Act. The board of a forest for domestic use shall be controlled by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry. For each forest for which no exemption is in force a management plan shall be adopted by the Department.
