I am a research fellow at the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri), based in Paris. In my research, I have dealt with land markets (large- and small-scale transactions) in both rural and peri-urban areas, mostly in East Africa. Throughout my postdoc at Sciences Po Bordeaux and my experience as a consultant at the Global Land Tool Network/UN-Habitat I have focused on the land-related impacts of rapid urbanisation. Producing research which is useful for various stakeholders and rising awareness about the importance of land for various other policy sectors is one of my key objectives.
