This Act amends the Development and Planning Law (2008 Revision) in various provisions concerning, among other things: the Planning Department, applications to carry out major developments, application for planning permission, provisions relating permissions for development, the Infrastructure Fund, Regulation-making powers of the Governor and appeals against decisions of Central Planning Authority and against decisions of the Development Control Board. The Act also: inserts a new Part (IIIA) on the duty of maintenance of land in order to avoid affecting adversely the area in which the land is situated; inserts a new section on immunity from liability by the Authority, the Board, the Department of Planning, the Director or any employee of the Department of Planning; and repeals of section 27 on maintenance of waste land.
