The present Law lays down provisions relating to compulsory expropriation. Article 1 establishes that the forced withdrawal or limitation of property or related rights can only take place in the interest of the public. The text consists of 22 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General principles on limitation of property (A); Assignment and compensation (B); Proceedings (C); Payment of compensation and its effect (D).
