Executive Summary
 

Tenure security is a critical foundation for human development, for
prosperity, and the health and sustainability of our planet. Tenure security
and good land governance protects the rights of land users and facilitates a
long-term relationship with land that enables sustainable land use and
sustained investment in land. It promotes peace, stability and inclusive
growth; it protects the poor and empowers women and marginalized groups
such as indigenous peoples and local communities; it helps protect nature

The Land Portal Foundation's 2023 Annual Report presents a comprehensive overview of our efforts and accomplishments in transforming land data governance worldwide. 

Our report highlights three fundamental pillars that have guided our work: Inform, Open, and Debate. Through these pillars, we've expanded our global database of land and property rights programs, enhanced land governance data management, supported data literacy and advocacy, and facilitated critical debates on land governance issues.

Le ProPFR vise l’amélioration de la protection juridique de l’accès à la terre, compte oeuvrer pour apporter un appui et un accompagnement aux structures étatiques, des structures déconcentrées du code rural, à la société civile et aux leaders d’opinion pour faire de la gouvernance foncière, le levier pour le développement des activités économiques rurales.

Le modèle Nexus « Gah Kêssê » est une approche holistique visant à soutenir les systèmes agropastoraux localement et compensant les pertes liées à la réduction de la mobilité. Le modèle a été conçu, testé et analysé par la Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH pour le compte du Ministère Fédéral de la Coopération Economique et du Développement (BMZ) au sein du Projet global de la promotion d’une politique foncière responsable (ProPFR) et du module pays Bénin.

The strategic approach aims at strengthening the capacities of key stakeholders and improving the regulatory framework for investments in land.

As part of the Global Programme Responsible Land Policy in Ethiopia, Laos and Uganda, the Responsible Governance of Investments in Land (RGIL) project, co-financed by the European Union (EU), aims to ensure that investments in land are fair, productive and contribute to sustainable land management. A key element of this is strong engagement of private investors in those processes.
