These Regulations implement the Heritage Act by providing specifications on the discovery of archaeological places and objects (sect. 4), heritage assessment criteria (sect. 5), revocation of declaration (sects. 6-7), approval of perform works on heritage places (sect. 8) and approval to destroy or demolish heritage places (sect. 9).

A Regulation to implement selected provisions of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act which aims at the preservation and protection from injury or desecration of areas and objects in Australia and in Australian waters, being areas and objects that are of particular significance to Aboriginals in accordance with Aboriginal tradition.

No person shall, from the 1st day of January, 1997, undertake any of the categories of enterprise, construction or development specified in Column A of the Schedule, within the area specified in Column B thereof, except under and in accordance with a permit issued by the Natural Resources Conservation Authority.

This Order defines property that is exempted from rating in accordance with the Rating Act, 1997. This category includes agricultural land and buildings on such land, used primarily for the purposes of agriculture excluding residential and recreational buildings and lands and buildings situated in Trust Land or in the Reserves.

This Order establishes that economic activity on land within the boundaries of national parks without expropriation shall not contradict scope and basic objectives of national park. Land management regime shall take into consideration the interests of the population living on the territory of national park.

The present Decree, which repeals Decree of 22 February 2006 on the landfill of waste, establishes the regulatory framework applicable to the installation and functioning of waste landfills. In addition, it sets out measures for the measurements and checks to be carried out by establishments engaged in the landfill of waste with a view to preventing emissions into the atmosphere and waters.

This Order lists a new protected area as defined in the second column of Schedule 1.
