Forest Tenure

Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Land reclamation systems of common management shall be considered land reclamation systems in common ownership of two or more persons transferred for common management to more than one natural or legal persons and also protection forest belts that are necessary for the needs of the aforesaid persons”.

This Act provides rules relative to cultivation, husbandry and forestry in times of war. It grants extraordinary powers to the Minister, assisted by a special Commission, to issue rules relative to agricultural production and the land use.

This Act makes provision for the management and conservation of forest and wildlife resources in Montserrat. It establishes the Forestry, Wildlife, National Parks and Protected Areas Board and the Environmental Fund. The Board shall, among other things, advise the Minister and review and revise the national forest, wildlife and national parks plan.

Section 2 of the above-mentioned Act establishes a body corporate called the “Maritime Forestry Complex Corporation” consisting of those persons who make up the board of directors.

This Act concerns the management of Crown lands, i.e. all or any part of the lands vested in the Crown that are under the administration and control of the Minister and includes any water upon or under the surface of such lands and of forest and forest resources.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of conservation, management , promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage and is aimed at ensuring constitutional right of citizens related to access to cultural heritage. Objects of cultural heritage shall be considered immovable property and shall include natural landscapes, recreational urban forests and parks.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of land reclamation originating in the process of realization of land reclamation arrangements, establishes plenary powers of state bodies, local government, natural and legal persons operating in the aforesaid sphere. The scope of land reclamation activity shall be to raise fertility and productivity of agricultural land.

This Act provides for the control and planning of development and for the acquisition and disposal of land for planning purposes under the Lands Acquisition Act. It establishes the Town and Country Planning Authority and defines its functions and powers. The Authority shall make a development plan based on the review of existing development in the Seychelles.

This Act makes provision with respect to conservation of the forest, soil, water and other natural resources of Grenada. The Minister shall establish and maintain a Forestry Department within his or her Ministry, appoint forestry officers and generally promote the interests of forestry.

This Act, among other things, vests the property of mineral rights in the President, provides with respect to the administration of matters regarding mines and minerals, provides for the granting of mineral rights and related matters, and provides for the protection of the environment in relation with mining operations.
