Regional Law No. 193-24-OZ “On maximum and minimum land area of the plots of land allotted to citizens”.

This Regional Law establishes maximum and minimum land area of the plots of public or municipal land allotted to citizens in ownership for farming, gardening, horticulture, stockbreeding, subsidiary smallholding and individual housing construction. Total land area of agricultural land that can be owned or held in tenancy or lease by citizens carrying out subsistence farming and subsidiary smallholding shall not exceed 10 hectares.

Presidential Decree No. 148 of 2010 approving the funding agreement between the Government of Egypt and the International Fund for Agricultural Development on the project of developing farm irrigation in the old lands.

This Presidential Decree approves the funding agreement between the Government of Egypt and the International Fund for Agricultural Development on the project of developing farm irrigation in the old lands. The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt, the Agriculture Research Center, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation as well as other entities. The objective of the project is to improve irrigation networks, improve agricultural productivity, give market support to farmers, as well as enhancing water management.

Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Multi-child families, with three or more children of 18 to 23 years of age living in rural areas plots of public land shall be granted free of charge for individual housing construction, gardening, horticulture and subsistence farming on conditions that the aforesaid children are studying in general educational institutions attending full-time course of studies”.

This Regional Law establishes the modalities of allocation of parcels of public land to citizens free of charge for gardening, horticulture and stockbreeding, and establishes minimum and maximum land area of the aforesaid parcels. It establishes that regional resident – natural person that has never had nor has parcel of agricultural land in ownership for subsistence farming, gardening or horticulture, shall be granted the right to receive in ownership a land parcel for each of the aforesaid purposes once-only.

This Regional Law establishes that all producers of agricultural commodities shall be subject to mandatory payment of single food tax. Objects of taxation shall be agricultural land held by the producers of agricultural commodities on condition of ownership, tenancy or lease. Food tax shall be paid in the natural form: (a) in grain by grain farming enterprises; (b) in poultry products by poultry farming enterprises; and (c) in natural products calculated as equivalent to a metric ton of grain by other enterprises producing agricultural commodities.

These Regulations amend the Nitrates Action Programme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 in regard to the manner of storage of poultry litter and location of storage facilities. They require the doubling of the distances between temporary poultry litter field heaps and surface water features as well as requiring an authorisation for an individual field heap. They also ensure that poultry litter field heaps are not placed on soil that is water logged or in a location that is flooded or likely to flood.

These Regulations amend the Common Agricultural Policy Single Payment and Support Schemes (Cross Compliance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 by substituting a new Regulation 6 which designates the Department of Agriculture, the Department of the Environment and the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland as the authorities responsible for carrying out controls on certain specified requirements or standards set out in these Regulations and the Council Regulation.

Regional Law No. 68-OZ “On rates of allotment of land parcels to citizens”.

This Regional Law establishes rates of allotment of public land parcels to citizens for farming, gardening, horticulture and stockbreeding as follows: (a) agricultural land for peasant farms – 200 ha; (b) for gardening, horticulture – 0,15 ha per family; (c) land for stockbreeding shall be calculated by livestock species but shall not exceed 0,50 ha. Allotment free of charge of public agricultural land to citizens that have the right to such allotment shall not exceed 0,50 ha.

Regional Law No. 28-Z “On allotment o land free of charge to multi-child family”.

This Regional Law grants the right of free allotment of land on condition of ownership to multi-child families with three or more natural or adopted dependent children in possession of RF citizenship. The aforesaid land allotment shall be authorized once-only. Land shall be allotted for agricultural purposes (subsistence farming, gardening, agriculture or for housing construction) with dimensions of land area in accordance with rates of allotment validated by local government.
