The New Urban Agenda was adopted in October 2016 at the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development – Habitat III in Quito, Ecuador. The ISK Regional Conference is an annual event organized by the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya which is the professional body for landed professionals in Kenya.

The LANDac Annual International Conference offers a podium for researchers, practitioners and private sector representatives interested in land governance for equitable and sustainable development.

This webinar aims to: (1) promote understanding of the role CSOs can play in monitoring the progress of SDG land targets; (2) Introduce formats developed by the SDG Land Momentum Group on parallel reporting to ILC members and the land community; (3) Encourage CSOs and other stakeholders to report on progress on the implementation of SDG land targets.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The Committee on World Food Security (CFS) will organize a High-Level Virtual Special Event on Food Security and Nutrition, 13 - 15 October 2020. The session, in lieu of CFS 47 which has been rescheduled to 8 - 12 February 2021 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, will seek to keep food security and nutrition front and centre on the global sustainable development agenda.

All the UN member states have committed to achieve the Sustainable Development Targets by 2030. However, there is a clear gap between what is being committed and the delivery of the commitments. For example, in 2020 National Voluntary Reports only seven countries reported on specific land targets. No country reported on the all three key land targets.
