This Law is composed of 9 chapters, setting out the duties of the State and regulating land surveys and cartographic activities in order to create a framework for such activities and to provide a professional and efficient service. Chapter 5 deals with the carrying out of land surveys. Ownership questions and cartographic activities are regulated in Chapter 7. Administrative provisions are set forth in Chapter 8 in which the Commission of coordination of Land Survey and Mapping is established.

The exact description and delimitation of habitat types are an important tool and a basic condition for the protection and effective management of the natural environment and biodiversity in Greece. It is also a bounding obligation towards the competent EU bodies. Previously registered habitats (period 1999−2001) concerned in total 237 land areas totaling roughly 2 millions hectares of land. This work was the first and only mapping of habitat types in protected areas, resulting in the production of thematic maps (habitat type maps).

La présente loi modifie les dispositions des articles 2 et 3 de la loi n° 97-026 du 20 mai 1997 régissant la profession de Géomètre Expert.Aux termes de l’article 2 (nouveau), le Géomètre Expert procède en son nom et sous sa responsabilité au cours les opérations qu’il entreprend dans le domaine foncier, notamment les opérations topographiques de foncier et de cadastre ; la matérialisation des limites des biens fonciers, les opérations techniques ou aux études se rapportant aux travaux cadastraux et de lotissement, à l’évaluation, au partage, à la fusion ou à la mutation des biens fonciers.

Part I of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 establishes a new regime for access to the countryside. Under Part I maps prepared by the Countryside Agency will show registered common land and open country. These Regulations make provision for the preparation of and consultation on maps in draft form under this Part. Regulation 3 provides for the preparation and scale of maps issued in draft form, including the form in which they are to be prepared.

The Regulation specifies limited values and measures for preventing soil pollution. The Ministry of Environment, together with other pertinent institutions and agencies, defines the areas and locations where soil pollution occurs and determines and implements corresponding measures. The list of soil pollutants and their limit values are given in Annex-IA and Annex-IB of the Regulation. Use of any agricultural chemicals and fertilizers that are not licensed by the Ministry of Agriculture is prohibited. The use of waste disposal and composted materials are defined in details.

This Order establishes competence of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Service related to state land survey of agricultural land. State land survey shall be carried out in the form of inspection by the authorized bodies. The purpose of the foresaid inspection shall be the enforcement of land legislation related to land protection and land tenancy. Land cadastre data, land monitoring data and other related information shall be used in the process of carrying out land inspection.

The present Regulation enacts the Survey Act. For the purpose of the present Regulation “co-ordinate survey” means a survey made for the purpose of establishing the location of points on the surface of the earth by geographic or grid co-ordinates. Section 2 establishes that the system of co-ordinate surveys known as the “Ontario Co-ordinate System” is continued. The text consists of 8 sections and 1 Schedule.

This Regional Law regulates the issues of conservation, management and promotion of the objects of cultural heritage. All the objects of cultural heritage located on the regional territory shall be subject to compulsory state registration. Objects of cultural heritage shall be subject to state protection thorough establishment and mapping of the boundaries and protection zones thereof. Cultural and historical reserves can be instituted by the Regional Government in accordance with historical and cultural expert opinion and opinion of local government.
