Forest Peoples Programme supports the rights of peoples who live in forests and depend on them for their livelihoods. We work to create political space for forest peoples to secure rights, control their lands and decide their own futures.

RECOFTC

RECOFTC


RECOFTC is derived from an abbreviated form of the organization's legal name, Regional Community Forestry Training Center for Asia and the Pacific. Formerly the organization was known as RECOFTC – The Center for People and Forests.


 


REDD Monitor

REDD-Monitor aims to facilitate discussion about the concept of reducing deforestation and forest degradation as a way of addressing climate change. 


The website was set up as a response to discussions between environmental and social organisations and movements in the North and South. The target audience is anyone involved in REDD discussions – while it is unlikely that you’ll agree with everything written here, REDD-Monitor looks forward to your contributions to the discussions.

Global Forest Watch

GFW

Global Forest Watch originally began in 1997 as an initiative to establish a global forest monitoring network, convened by the World Resources Institute and partners. It began as part of WRI’s Forest Frontiers Initiative. The original GFW achieved many outcomes toward the conservation of large intact forest areas.

Le CED s’est donné pour mission de contribuer à la protection des droits, des intérêts, de la culture et les aspirations des communautés locales et autochtones des forêts d’Afrique Centrale, par la promotion de la justice environnementale et de la gestion durable des ressources naturelles dans la région.


Nos objectifs sont les suivants:

SIANI

SIANI is a member-based network that supports and promotes Swedish expertise on sustainable food security and nutrition, in line with the Swedish Government’s policy on global development.


Our membership is diverse and includes representatives from governments, civil society, the private sector and academia. Our network offers an open and interactive platform for exchange on global issues around food security, poverty reduction and environmental sustainability.

Mission


Forest Trends works to conserve forests and other ecosystems through the creation and wide adoption of a broad range of environmental finance, markets and other payment and incentive mechanisms. Forest Trends does so by:


  1. Providing transparent information on ecosystem values, finance, and markets through knowledge acquisition, analysis, and dissemination;
