National Academic Research and Collaborations Information System (NARCIS) is the main Dutch national portal for those looking for information about researchers and their work. NARCIS aggregates data from around 30 institutional repositories. Besides researchers, NARCIS is also used by students, journalists and people working in educational and government institutions as well as the business sector.
NARCIS provides access to scientific information, including (open access) publications from the repositories of all the Dutch universities, KNAW, NWO and a number of research institutes, datasets from some data archives as well as descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes.
This means that NARCIS cannot be used as an entry point to access complete overviews of publications of researchers (yet). However, there are more institutions that make all their scientific publications accessible via NARCIS. By doing so, it will become possible to create much more complete publication lists of researchers.
In 2004, the development of NARCIS started as a cooperation project of KNAW Research Information, NWO, VSNU and METIS, as part of the development of services within the DARE programme of SURFfoundation. This project resulted in the NARCIS portal, in which the DAREnet service was incorporated in January 2007. NARCIS has been part of DANS since 2011.
DANS - Data Archiving and Networked Services - is the Netherlands Institute for permanent access to digital research resources. DANS encourages researchers to make their digital research data and related outputs Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

In opdracht van het ministerie van LNV wordt onderzocht wat de bruikbaarheid en uitbreidingsmogelijkheden van het informatiemodel van de ruimtelijke ordening (IMRO) zijn voor het vastleggen en uitwisselen van ruimtelijke plannen die betrekking hebben op de groene ruimte. Uit de probleemanalyse blijkt dat IMRO niet geheel toereikend is en dat er een aantal knelpunten bestaat. Vervolgens worden suggesties gedaan om deze problemen op te lossen. Als oplossing voor een aantal problemen wordt het GeneriekeRuimtelijke Informatiemodel (GRIM) gesuggereerd.
CLC2000 land cover database of the Netherlands; monitoring land cover changes between 1986 and 2000
The 1986 CORINE land cover database of the Netherlands was revised and updated on basis of Landsat satellite images and ancillary data. Interpretation of satellite images from 1986 and 2000 resulted in the CLC2000, CLC1986rev and CLCchange databases. A standard European legend and production methodology was applied. Thirty land cover classes were discerned. Most extended land cover types were pastures (231), arable land (211) and complex cultivation patterns (242). Between 1986 and 2000 around 4.76% of land changed its land cover.

Het Nederlandse cultuurlandschap is van oudsher vorm gegeven door bedrijvigheid, en dan vooral de landbouw, maar deze boet langzaam aan belang in. Het buitengebied zou zich kunnen ontwikkelen als consumptieruimte (voor wonen, recreatie en dergelijke), maar het is ook goed denkbaar dat andere ruimtevragende bedrijvigheid het landelijk gebied binnentrekt en het aangezicht gaat bepalen. Binnen dit onderzoek is gekeken naar de activiteiten die buiten de 'bebouwde kom' in het landelijk gebied plaatsvinden, langs drie verbindingswegen.
Community forestry in Nederland
Uitleg over de oorsprong en betekenis van het gegrip 'community forestry', en een inventarisatie van de verschillende vormen van community forestry die in Nederland voorkomen en de motieven voor deelname aan community forestry activiteiten. Vooral twee categorieën van bosbeheer worden beschouwd als typische representanten van community forestry: gezamenlijk bosbeheer waarbij zowel de besluitvorming als de controle op het beheer in handen zijn van lokale organisaties en vrijwilligersgroepen, en gezamenlijk bosbeheer van gemeenschappelijk bosbezit (restanten van vroegere markebossen)
Forestland: its dynamics, disorganised uses and planning in South Kalimantan, Indonesia
This study was aimed at analysing land cover and land use dynamics, and at identifying and evaluating the driving forces behind deforestation, by relating population dynamics, village distribution patterns and socio-economic indicators with spatial aspects of land cover changes. It also aimed at knowing the conditions of the local people, their opinions and aspirations regarding conservation. A land re-allocation model for agricultural land and protection forest, as an approach to solving the problem was established
