Location
National Academic Research and Collaborations Information System (NARCIS) is the main Dutch national portal for those looking for information about researchers and their work. NARCIS aggregates data from around 30 institutional repositories. Besides researchers, NARCIS is also used by students, journalists and people working in educational and government institutions as well as the business sector.
NARCIS provides access to scientific information, including (open access) publications from the repositories of all the Dutch universities, KNAW, NWO and a number of research institutes, datasets from some data archives as well as descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes.
This means that NARCIS cannot be used as an entry point to access complete overviews of publications of researchers (yet). However, there are more institutions that make all their scientific publications accessible via NARCIS. By doing so, it will become possible to create much more complete publication lists of researchers.
In 2004, the development of NARCIS started as a cooperation project of KNAW Research Information, NWO, VSNU and METIS, as part of the development of services within the DARE programme of SURFfoundation. This project resulted in the NARCIS portal, in which the DAREnet service was incorporated in January 2007. NARCIS has been part of DANS since 2011.
DANS - Data Archiving and Networked Services - is the Netherlands Institute for permanent access to digital research resources. DANS encourages researchers to make their digital research data and related outputs Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

It elucidates the linkage between rational choice theory and theories on land use change. It builds a quantitative framework to connect the environmental method of Material Flow Analysis to basic issues of rural development such as agricultural intensification and food security.
Land Reform In Bolivia: The Forestry Question
textabstractAbstract: In this paper we discuss forestry issues related to land reform in Bolivia. We find that although the current land reform satisfies most of the necessary conditions for adequately addressing development issues in the agrarian sector, it does not deal with many challenges related to forest management and actually contains provisions conflicting with the objectives of sustainable forest management.
De aantrekkingskracht van het Nederlandse landschap : een verkenning naar de relatie tussen ruimtelijke factoren en inkomend toerisme
Het Nederlandse landschap speelt een belangrijke rol van betekenis bij het aantrekken van buitenlandse toeristen. Enerzijds is het landschap een veelvuldig gebruikt element in het gecreëerde imago van Nederland als toeristisch-recreatief oord. Anderzijds geven ook toeristen zelf blijk van waardering voor het Nederlandse landschap. Aspecten die bijzonder gewaardeerd worden zijn de kust, het water, en het verhaal van de strijd tegen het water, de cultuurhistorie en de mogelijkheden van wandelen en fietsen.
Greenport Venlo: een gezamenlijke zoektocht naar duurzame regionale ontwikkeling
Vanuit het regionaal economisch perspectief is voor het Rijk een beperkt aantal locaties van belang waar de primaire productie, de handel en de distributie van tuinbouw zich ruimtelijk gebundeld hebben. Deze locaties zijn Greenports genaamd. Wat betreft Greenport Venlo, wordt aangetoond hoe nieuwe samenwerkingsverbanden een volstrekt nieuwe methode hanteren om innovatie en duurzame doelen na te streven bij regionale ontwikkeling.
Europa hindert Nederlandse ambitie
Tientallen belangenorganisaties en overheden tekenden in september een landschapsakkoord om de alsmaar toenemende verrommeling een halt toe te roepen. Een unieke samenwerking en mooie ambitie. Maar daarmee is het Nederlandse landschap nog niet gered, waarschuwt landschapsecoloog Bas Pedroli. Want op Europees niveau worden ondertussen afspraken gemaakt die die ambitie tegenwerken. In Pedroli's ogen heeft het rijk daarbij de taak om zorg te dragen voor het landschap als een publiek goed. Het valt moeilijk in markteconomische termen te definiëren
