This Law rules on environmental protection measures to be applied for the following River basins of São Paulo State: Pardo, Moji Guaçu and Médio Grande. Moreover, the Law establishes the guidelines for land use and occupation in the interested areas. The Law indicates the competences and related functions of the Secretary for Environment, the Secretary fro Agriculture, and the secretary for Planning in the implementation of its provisions. The Law recalls for an economic and environmental zoning of the aforesaid river basin areas and requires prevention measures for waste and other pollutants dangerous for water quality. The Annexes provide details on the potentate water and atmosphere pollutants.
