This Act regulates the sale and acquisition of real property through concessions, and in particular land used for agricultural purposes, so as to safeguard effective use of such property, to protect the production capacity, and to regulate ownership for the benefit of public good. The interests to be protected are listed in section 1 and include agriculture, forestry and nature conservation.The Act consist of 23 sections divided into 6 Chapters: Scope and means to reach the aim of the Act (1); Arrangements that are equaled to acquisition of real property (2); Transfer that does not imply a concession, lowering of the concession limit and related matters (3) Important conditions for the granting of concessions (4); Procedures of granting, etc. (5); Miscellaneous provisions (6).Chapter 2 and sections 4 and 5 define the extended scope of the Act. It shall apply also to establishment or transfer of other real property rights. A concession shall not be required in the cases of acquisition of rights listed in section 4 and 5 (e.g. inheritance). Section 9 defines conditions for the purchase of real property to be used for agricultural purposes.
